I have strong spark, Fuel, air, but finally traced it to the carbs, it seriously needs cleaning as my choke and lifters are stuck. While you will not find carburetors in modern vehicles, there are still many older road-going cars and trucks as well as show and classic vehicles that have them. Picked up used one for not too uch. Also check the set screw to ensure that it has a springy tip. After great "discussion" about "you can't really tell till they are on the car" and me explaining I was carrying out their recommended proceedure prior to installation, they were taken round the back for "expert evaluation". Ran the Midget quite a bit yesterday and it ran fine, especially at idle, which was my main problem. Bonnet clearance is fine - no messing with angles or dashpots etc required. There seem to be so many variations in individual cars that what suits on vehicle no bonnet dents doesn't suit another by all accounts. He had it wired partway open.

Description: Funny enough, this is sitting right in front of me as i type this. The hybrid is supposed to fit both types of A series, not sure whether You can damage that little biasing spring. Choke cable is standard Sprite version. There's also the chance that the needle has reached the limits of its travel, but I wouldn't expect the engine to run with the adjustment at either extreme.
